Professional coaching for families navigating the teenage years
The teenage years are a pivotal chapter — filled with opportunity, challenge, and transformation. As an experienced educator and qualified coach-counsellor, I support teenagers and their parents through this important stage. In English or Dutch, I offer thoughtful one-to-one guidance to help teenagers build resilience, confidence, and direction, while supporting parents to better understand and connect with their teenagers.

My Journey
Supporting Young People & Families
I grew up in Dublin, Ireland, and studied at Trinity College Dublin before my career in education took me across Europe — to Germany, Switzerland, and eventually the Netherlands, where I have lived since 2012 with my husband and our two children.
Having lived and worked in different countries, I understand both the opportunities and challenges of expat life, including adapting to new cultures, education systems, and finding a sense of belonging.
For over twenty years, I have worked as an English teacher in Ireland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. I found my greatest fulfilment in working one-to-one with teenagers — supporting not only their academic progress, but also their confidence, motivation, and personal development.
This experience led me to qualify as a coach-counsellor, allowing me to support teenagers and their parents beyond the classroom, with a more holistic and personal approach.
For over twenty years, I have worked as an English teacher in Ireland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, supporting teenagers through different educational systems, exams, and important transitions.
Over time, I became increasingly aware that academic challenges are often connected to confidence, motivation, identity, and belonging. It was through one-to-one conversations with students that I discovered how powerful personal support can be, leading me naturally into coaching and counselling.
At the heart of my work is the belief that strong communication and genuine connection help teenagers grow into confident, independent young adults — while also helping families understand and support each other.
For over twenty years, I have worked closely with teenagers in the Netherlands and across Europe. I found that my greatest fulfilment came from listening to and supporting young people beyond the classroom, helping them navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-awareness.
This led me to train as a coach-counsellor, allowing me to offer more focused one-to-one support around confidence, motivation, and personal development.
I also recognise that when a teenager struggles, the whole family is affected. By supporting both teenagers and parents, I aim to strengthen communication, understanding, and connection — creating a foundation for positive, lasting change.
